Please join Synkroniciti in welcoming back French filmmaker, visual artist and photographer Ariel Neo, previously featured in “Empathy” (2:1),  “Hidden” (2:4), and “Birds” (3:3), with a breathtaking short video, “Fire Within.” This video was shot in Switzerland at a cold immersion workshop with Wim Hof. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous: you can feel the snow crunch, the silky fur of a wolf, the heat of fire as it begins to leap. Due to a last minute cancellation, Ariel also took the place of the lead actor and is very natural in front of the camera.

The pressure of the world around us takes its toll on our creativity, even on our identity itself. Even in the most extreme situations, if we can slow down and breathe, acknowledging the nature within and without ourselves, we can better access our inner fire. By changing our mental state, we change our physical state and vice versa. This creates ripples and transformations in our surrounding reality.

Experience Ariel’s inspiring short film in the new issue of Synkroniciti, “Flow.” You can subscribe or purchase the issue here:  https://synkroniciti.com/the-magazine/.

Ariel Neo is a versatile interdisciplinary artist from Brittany, France, following her unique vision in the fields of oil painting, photography and film. Her inspiration springs primarily from nature and her distress at the damage humanity is causing to the environment. As a painter, she makes bold, colorful totemic images on large, round canvases, often installed and photographed in outdoor settings where they take on an unusual and profound resonance. Several of her short films, including Rainslide (2:1) and her most recent release, Firefalls, have broken on to the international stage, winning numerous awards and inspiring audiences.
